Geopark Committee is a legislative organization that deliberates and makes decisions on major issues related to the certification and cancellation of a geopark, selection of a candidate for certification as a world geopark, and geopark management and operation.
Grounds: In accordance with Article 27-4 of the Natural Parks Service, currently, the Geopark Committee has a total of twenty persons on it, which includes the chairman, ex officio or commissioned members, and their term is two years. Besides them, the eleven other commissioned members are appointed by the Minister of Environment.
